Cadillac opens its first NZ Experience Centre in Auckland

Cadillac has officially landed in NZ, with the opening of its new Cadillac Auckland Experience Centre.

The American luxury brand has re-purposed the old Tesla site on Karangahape Road, the Cadillac Auckland Experience Centre is said to blend premium automotive luxury with local urban culture.

According to GM, the centre is designed to be the opposite of a typical dealership, being part lounge, part design studio and part delivery hub. Customers are welcomed with ‘high-end finishes, exposed brick, bold lighting and a runway-style display area’ which is intended to  showcase the brand’s electric future. A bespoke vehicle personalisation zone and on-site service facilities should ensure that customers are supported through every step of ownership.

“Cadillac is about redefining modern luxury, not just through our vehicles, but through how we engage with our customers,” said Jess Bala, Managing Director of GM Australia and New Zealand. “The Cadillac Auckland Experience Centre is a reflection of that vision—unlike anything else on the market.”

The first model on display is the Cadillac LYRIQ. Available in both Luxury and Sport trims, the LYRIQ is said to ‘set the tone’ for Cadillac’s premium EV lineup in New Zealand. Owners will benefit from a five-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, five years of scheduled servicing and roadside assistance and an eight-year EV battery warranty. A $400 charging credit with ChargeNet is also included to ease the transition to electric driving.

The LYRIQ is set to be joined by the performance oriented LYRIQ-V and then the smaller OPTIQ crossover as well as the larger three-row VISTIQ SUV.
