BSA NZ confirms new Bantam 350 is arriving soon

The BSA Bantam is making a comeback, reimagined for a modern era, and priced to sell well.

Nice looking simple motorcycle.

The Bantam 350 will arrive in New Zealand showrooms imminently, with an introductory price of $6990 + ORC.

It has been a long time in the making. The Bantam launched originally in 1948. It quickly became one of BSA’s most iconic and beloved models. Bantam was renowned for its simplicity, reliability, and accessibility.

British Small Arms, if you're wondering, only now it is made in India.

Now it’s almost back, reimagined with modern engineering while staying true to the original concept. Its makers envisaged an uncomplicated, honest, and joyful riding experience for all.

The 2025 Bantam features a 334cc Euro 5+ compliant, DOHC single-cylinder engine. It delivers 29hp (22kW) and 30Nm, sufficient for urban commuting or weekend adventures alike. It uses a six-speed gearbox and kerb weight is 185kg.

One of the funky colours.

Designed with approachability in mind, as before, the Bantam features an easy 800mm seat height. It also comes with dual-channel ABS, telescopic forks, and twin rear shock absorbers “for a comfortable and confident ride”.

To behold, the Bantam draws a line back to its heritage with a classic round LED headlamp, a teardrop fuel tank, curved rear fender, and circular LCD dash. They all echo the design language that made the original a hit.

Also available in red.

Since the return of the BSA brand, it has relaunched across the UK, EU, India, Japan, the Philippines, and also New Zealand.

The new BSA Bantam 350 will be available soon. To register your interest and be among the first to experience this modern classic, visit here.
