Audi is set to show off a sports car concept inspired by the TT tomorrow. However, a shot of the concept appeared on Audi’s Canadian social media feeds.
The concept has clear mid-engined proportions and a two-seat cabin. It is thought that this will be the forerunner to the next TT. The last model ended production in Nov 2023.

While the post said this is not a production vehicle, the design looks closer to production ready than many concepts. And Audi CEO, Gernot Döllner, has previously said it plans to launch a production version of every show car it unveils henceforth.
Audi will officially unwrap the new concept designed by Massimo Frascella under the tagline ‘strive for clarity’. This suggests the beginning of a new minimalist design language for the brand under Frascella’s leadership.
The concept exhibits clean lines, thin LED headlights and echos of the R8 supercar. Expect an electric powertrain, possibly borrowing tech from the upcoming 718 Boxster and Cayman pair. Lines on the roof suggest the possibility of a removable panel.

Döllner also said that the design would be “a bold step for the brand”. He added that it would “look to the future and the strengths of Audi design, for clarity and to bring that to the future, not copying the past”.
A recent Audi video said that “the legends of yesterday are the blueprint for tomorrow”. What followed were images of the TT, the 1991 Avus concept and several Auto Union grand prix cars from the 1930s.
Dollner continued: “The absolutely fantastic aspect is that it seems that he [Frascella] somehow had Audi in mind for his whole career.
“Now is the time to let Audi out of the mind of Massimo Frascella.”
