Aprilia names its price for Tuareg Rally

Following its win in the Africa Eco Race, Aprilia has unveiled the Tuareg Rally, due here soon. Based on the Tuareg 660, this is a purpose-built adventure bike honed for experienced riders seeking serious off-road performance.

Dune busting Aprilia Tuareg Rally.

Inspired by the race-winning machine ridden by Jacopo Cerutti, this production model stays close to the competition version. Aprilia says it is a new benchmark in twin-cylinder off-road capability.

Black on red looks smart with the gold wheels.

Developed with input from Aprilia Racing, the Tuareg Rally builds on the capability of the existing Tuareg 660. It’s a machine shaped by desert racing, with Cerutti instrumental in its tuning. He provided direct feedback on electronics and suspension to bring the production model as close as possible to the rally bike. It features sharper throttle response and a chassis tuned for high-speed stability across demanding terrain.

Tough look to the undercarriage.

Rugged in appearance, the Tuareg Rally features a high front mudguard, reinforced aluminium skid plate, and hand guards with internal metal cores. A new chain guide enhances durability in extreme conditions. A 20mm taller seat improves control during seated-to-standing transitions, and a revised handlebar shape aids handling precision. The heavy-duty spoked wheels now feature narrower Ergal rims and off-road tyres with inner tubes, ensuring resilience over rough surfaces.

Everything about this Rally machine is built for enhanced durability.

Though the Kayaba suspension retains its 240mm of travel, it now incorporates stiffer springs with a linear rate. This improves control, feel, and stability, though ride is slightly firmer. With reduced sag, the bike sits taller, offering increased suspension travel. The side stand now has a broader foot for enhanced stability on soft or uneven ground.

Large well protected TFT screen with good legibility.

Performance upgrades include an SC Project exhaust system, with a titanium silencer. A bespoke engine map delivers quicker throttle engagement, allowing riders to tackle technical sections more effectively. These changes also help trim the Rally’s weight slightly to 199kg, down from 204kg.

Visually, the Tuareg Rally sports the same livery as the race-winning version, with gold-anodised forks, bars, and wheels.

Tough stuff, though the welds look a bit crude.

Aprilia has also refreshed the 2025 Tuareg 660. Now Euro 5+ compliant, throttle bodies are up from 48 to 52mm and a new rare-earth generator reduces inertia and improves acceleration. Styling tweaks include a more streamlined front headlight while preserving the signature triple lamp set-up. Two new colour options – Tornado Green and Hailstorm White – both feature red frames.

Accessory options have also grown. Reinforced wheels, skid plates, and the chain guide are now available for the standard Tuareg. A heated comfort seat, available in three heights, integrates with the handlebar controls via the Aprilia MIA multimedia platform. Aprilia has also teamed up with Alpinestars to offer adventure gear tailored to the Tuareg experience.

Looks like it might actually be a lot of fun on road as well.

Priced at $23,990 (+ORC), the Tuareg Rally is just $1000 more than the base model, offering serious upgrades for those after a serious off-road machine. Initial deliveries are expected by October, while limited MY24 Tuarge 660 stock is currently offered with $2000 off.
