All-terrain Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato breaks cover

The covers have officially come off the all-terrain Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato. Among the additions are rugged over-fenders, a set of spotlights up front, and even a set of roof racks.

Inside, Lamborghini has added exclusive Alcantara upholstery to reflect the “feel like a pilot” philosophy alongside new Sterrato graphics on the various displays.

Instruments like a digital inclinometer with pitch and roll indicator, a compass, geographic coordinate indicator, and steering angle indicator will make you feel like you’re in a four-wheel drive.

Sterrato takes the Huracan to new heights with the ground clearance being increased by 44mm over the standard Evo model. The front and rear track widths have been increased by 30mm and 34mm respectively. It has aluminum underbody protection and reinforced sills to help it cope with more demanding terrain.

Plenty of power is at the driver’s disposal if they find themselves in a sticky situation as the Sterrato retains the 449kW and 560Nm 5.2-litre V10 found in its sibling models.

Said power is sent through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission with electronically controlled all-wheel drive and self-locking differential.

Even though it has been designed to offer as much grip on unpaved and sandy surfaces, the Sterrato can still reach 100km/h from a standstill in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 260km/h.

Carbon ceramic brake discs and six piston brakes up front, four at the rear, make up the model’s stopping force while being housed in 19-inch wheels wrapped in bespoke Bridgestone tyres.

Just 1499 units will be made which go into production in February next year, around 1000 less than its off-road Porsche 911 Dakar rival.
