Toyota has facelifted its Corolla Cross compact crossover (as previewed here). Part of the update includes a new top-of-the-range AWD GR Sport model. Pricing is now to hand, ranging from $44,990 drive away to $55,990.

For 2025 Corolla Cross continues to deliver as a compact all-rounder; Toyota says it is suitable for small families or couples planning weekend trips.
Powering the CC range is a 112kW/188Nm 2.0L petrol hybrid driving the front wheels. System power is 146kW. Toyota says its combined fuel use figure is 4.1L/100km (95g/km).
Toyota New Zealand’s Chief Strategic Officer, Andrew Davis says it a smart pick for eco-conscious drivers and those looking to keep long-term costs down.

“It’s efficient, smooth on the road, and packed with everyday versatility that fits right into Kiwi life,” Davis says.
Toyota reckons that Corolla Cross is also at home in urban settings, its cameras and smart sensors lending a hand with parking.

New for 2025 is a redesigned front bumper and grille. There’s also a range of new exterior colours across most grades. The Limited model comes with the option of a two-tone colour scheme.

All grades now include a Vehicle Approach Notice which alerts pedestrians and other road users to the presence of a slow-moving quiet vehicle.
The GX, GXL, and Limited grades carry a five-star ANCAP rating. There are four grades on offer, three FWD (GX, GXL, and Limited).

And for the first time in New Zealand, there’s an AWD GR Sport. It features GR styling, sharper handling, and a more connected driving feel. But fuel use is slightly higher at 4.6L/100km (106g/km). The sticker price is $54,990, and as a two-tone offering it costs $1000 more.
The GX hybrid kicks off the Corolla Cross line-up with drive-away pricing of $44,990. The GXL is $47,990 and Corolla Cross Limited is $51,990.
With its fresh look and upgraded specifications, plus the new GR Sport grade, Toyota NZ suggests the refreshed Corolla Cross range will continue to hit the mark for a wide range of Kiwis.
