Bentley Motors is resurrecting its iconic Supersports badge, with a hardcore new Continental GT model.
Few details of this upcoming model are available aside from the cropped image of a Continental GT with the Supersports lettering.
“The new Bentley Supersports will be the lightest, most driver-focused and first rear-wheel drive Continental GT ever,” the British brand said in a release accompanying the image.
As is the case with most special edition performance vehicles, there’s a high likelihood that this model will be limited, and only available to the brand’s best customers.
Bentley has previously been spotted testing an undercover Continental GT, believed to be this Supersports model.

The Supersports will utilise the 4.0-litre biturbo V8 from the GT Speed, only without the gearbox-mounted electric motor. Nor will it have the GT Speed’s all-wheel drive set-up.
Autocar UK reports that the car will weigh around 2000kg, or 450kg less than the GT Speed. It should be capable of matching that car’s 0-96km/h time of 3.1sec. And that was conservative, with our data logger suggesting 0-100km/h in 3.06sec.
Bentley’s Supersports badge first appeared 100 years ago, and has been used just four times since. It was last used in 2017 when a Continental ran a 522kW W12 mill.
Those hanging out for this unveiling will have to wait another week, as Bentley mentioned all will be revealed on November 14 (or November 15 or time).
