BSA has unveiled its first adventure bike offering at EICMA, touching down in the form of the Thunderbolt.
Named after the final model to roll off the BSA production line in 1972, the Thunderbolt is aimed at the new generation of riders.

Power comes from a single cylinder 334cc, DOHC liquid-cooled engine, which is paired with a six-speed transmission. It also gets a 15.5-litre fuel tank.
On the tech front, it gets traction control, three ABS modes, USD forks, mono rear shock and a slip and assist clutch.
An adjustable front windshield and instrument console, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and USB charging adds to the functionality.

To handle the rough stuff, it benefits from high ground clearance, reinforced bash plate and an integrated exoskeleton.
Upon unveiling the bike at EICMA, BSA mentioned it would be available from mid-2026, but the brand’s local distributor, Europe Imports, is still awaiting confirmation of local availability and pricing for the New Zealand market.
