2024 Mazda CX-30 local line-up joined by new SP25 variant

The local arm of Mazda has announced pricing and specification for the 2024 CX-30 line-up which now includes a new SP25 variant.

That means Kiwis can now choose from two front-wheel and two all-wheel drive powertrains, each of which features additional standard equipment for the new model year.

Speaking of which, all CX-30s now feature USB-C connections inside, along with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Starting things off is the most affordable variant of the line-up, the GSX, which is available for $43,390 excluding on-road costs (ORC). The entry-level model features a 2.0-litre petrol engine that sends 114kW and 200Nm of torque to the front wheels.

New for this year is the SP25, which introduces us to a new set of gloss black 18-inch alloy wheels, black mirrors, tinted privacy glass, and black exterior accents for $45,990 excluding ORC. The new variant also comes with a 2.5-litre petrol engine making 139kW and 252Nm at the front wheels.

The interior of the SP25 has also been given an extra dose of pizazz courtesy of red accented cloth seats, as well as a few additions from other CX-30 trims such as a colour head-up display and a 7-inch instrument panel.

Stepping up into the Limited variant, customers can expect to find features like a glass sunroof, adaptive LED headlights, silver 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, a Bose 12-speaker sound system, wireless phone charger, and a 10.25-inch infotainment display, all for $53,790 not including ORC.

The Limited features the same engine as the SP25, but instead sends power to all four wheels.

At the top of the range sits the Takami, which benefits from a 2.0-litre hybrid all-wheel drive powertrain and is priced at $57,790.
