Revealed earlier this year, the Gordon Murray revealed a spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 that blew every other car ever claiming the title out of the water.
Dubbed the S1 LM, not only does this supercar look the part, but also follows in the footsteps of the iconic McLaren, that Murray also designed, perfectly.

It’s powered by a 4.3-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine that revs to 12,1000rpm and produces north of 520kW. In true F1 style, this engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
The S1 LM tips the scales at just 957kg, and also features a centre-mounted driver’s seat with room for passengers on either side, also like the F1.
When Gordon Murray unveiled this car, it was announced that all five units had been pre-sold, all to one buyer. It turns out that this anonymous buyer figured owning all five of these cars was a bit silly, and has decided to sell one.

If you’re wondering why five became the magic number, it’s a tribute to the McLaren F1 GTR’s Le Mans victory in 1995.
Set to be sold by RM Sotheby’s at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix this weekend, this S1 LM is expected to fetch more than $35,000,000 when the hammer drops.
Not only does the winning bidder get the keys to the chassis #1, which also happens to be the final build allocation, but they will sit down with Gordon Murray himself to spec the car to their taste.
