Renault Master now the king of cool
Renault NZ is now offering a Master chiller van. Renault has teamed with local transport refrigeration expert, Transcold, to bring the refrigerated van to the local market and it will be available in mid-wheelbase (11m3) and long- wheelbase (13m3) options, the latter said to accommodate up to three pallets.
The chiller kits come from the United Kingdom and are specifically designed for the Renault Master. The refrigeration unit is made in the UK and Transcold’s NZ network can backup the product with support and servicing.
Once out of Level 4 lockdown, Transcold and Renault will be able to start work on multiple vehicles and have stock ready for delivery.
One of the advantages of this arrangement is build time. General Manager for Renault New Zealand, Sam Waller, says chiller vans usually require a custom build which can take up to 12 weeks, but the Master refrigerated van can be converted in under three weeks.
The Renault Master chiller vans will maintain a temperature of 0-4°C and have a 240v standby, making them ideal for anyone requiring temperature-controlled delivery.
Renault Master vans come with a factory-backed 350,000km/three-year warranty while the chiller unit has a 12-month/unlimited kilometre warranty from Transcold. The Master comes with 12-month/30,000km service intervals.
Renault NZ has been expanding its dealer network lately with Mike’s Cars in Dunedin, Morrison Cars in Sockburn Christchurch, Duncan and Ebbett in Tauranga, Central Motor Group in Taupo and 4Guys in Hamilton all appointed in the past few months.
Interested parties are encouraged to contact their local Renault dealer for more information, including the latest finance and leasing options.
