Triumph reveals updated Street Triple 765 RS
Triumph has taken the wraps off the more powerful, Euro5-compliant Street Triple 765 RS.
The core of the bike is the same, with a 765cc triple now spitting out 90.5kW and 79Nm, an increase of nine per cent for each. Triumph says the throttle is more responsive and the exhaust is freer flowing, despite now being good to go for Euro5 emissions standards. The gearbox has been refined too, with lower first and second gear ratios.
The Brits reckon the new Striple is the lightest in class, claiming a 166kg dry weight in RS form. This top dog comes equipped with Brembo M50 brakes, fully adjustable Öhlins suspension and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres. The twin headlights now have eyebrows, comprising LED DRLs. GoPro interaction is now possible via the uprated TFT screen, as are navigation and music/phone operation. As before, an up/down quickshifter is standard, along with road, rain, sport, track and rider configurable go modes.
Finally, more than 60 official accessories will be available, including scrolling LED indicators, extra styling options and luggage components.
Full pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
As a side note, the LAMS-approved Street Triple S will also get RS-inspired styling elements. More on that as info comes to hand.
