Indian reveals new Scouts
Indian has revealed its 2020 Scout line-up, in time for the model’s 100th anniversary.
The range is spearheaded by the limited-edition Scout 100th Anniversary model, with just 750 to be built globally. It features styling cues from the original Scout, like the colour combo of Indian Motorcycle Red with Anniversary Gold trim. The bike also gets a genuine leather desert tan solo saddle seat, colour-matched Scout 100th Anniversary badge, black wire wheels, retro-style ‘beach’ handlebars, luggage rack and chrome finishes. Local pricing isn’t confirmed but American buyers will pay $US15,999.
Meanwhile, there’s the Scout Bobber Twenty, again referencing the Scout’s centennial. It gets wire wheels, a floating saddle, 10-inch ape hanger handlebars plus a mix of chrome and blacked-out finishes.
“The Indian Scout has stood the test of time as one of the most influential, iconic and recognizable motorcycles in the world,” said Reid Wilson, Vice President for Indian Motorcycle. “One hundred years is an incredibly special milestone, and it made perfect sense to honour Scout’s history and legacy with these two heritage-inspired 2020 models.”
The two models join the existing Scout line-up, which kicks off at $NZ20,995.
