Honda dealer reveals custom ‘Africa Four’ CB1000R to celebrate semicentennial
Brivemo Motos, the official Swiss Honda dealer, has revealed its tribute to fifty years of Honda, a CB1000R-powered off-roader.
The engine, frame and single-sided swingarm are all from the CB-thou, meaning 107kW/104Nm and four ride modes (Rain, Standard, Sport and User), while the front suspension is taken from a Honda CRF450R, for a more trail-ready front end. There’s now a single large-diameter disc up front, anodised four-piston caliper and Continental TKC 80 knobbly tyres. A new front mudguard, headlight and aluminium handlebars round out the changes up front.
There’s now a four-into-one exhaust routing fumes and noise up under the single-seat tailpiece while new engine protection, toothed footpegs, minimal LED indicators and Adventure Sports bodywork hint at the bike’s off-roading intent. It just needs a bash plate to protect those delicate headers and it would be Woodhill-ready.
