Skoda teases Scala interior ahead of December reveal
Skoda has revealed cabin sketches of the upcoming Scala hatchback.
Among the notable features is a sizeable 10.25-inch digital screen in the middle of the dash, which looks to control everything bar HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning). That is still taken care of via traditional knobs and buttons. Skoda also says the Scala will have "an ergonomic wrist rest" just below the display.
Plenty of soft-foam surfaces on the dashboard and door panels will give an upmarket feel, the manufacturer added.
Over-the-air updates will be supported for the infotainment systems, and for the navigation. Locking and unlocking via a smartphone app will also be possible. Skoda says the Scala will be its first model to “always be online.”
The Scala will launch soon, on December 6 in the Middle East.
