Peugeot has bolstered its 3008 line-up with the new GT Line variant.

This new petrol-powered model slots in below the range-topping diesel-powered GT on price, and is available with the 1.6 THP engine which produces 121kW/240Nm. Much of the spec is the same as the GT, with features like full LED lighting, i-Cockpit Amplify with a choice of two ‘experiences’, Peugeot’s advanced traction control with Normal, Sand, Snow, Mud modes, as well as ESP Off.

The safety package includes adaptive cruise, forward collision warning with advanced emergency braking, and a 360-degree birds-eye view camera. An electric, hands-free tailgate helps the in-out flow from the boot, while the interior is decked out in ‘Imilia’ leatherette and fabric trim, Brumeo fabric dash detailing, and a Black Diamond roof.

Price is set at $49,990, below the $55,990 of the 3008 GT. Options for the cheaper GT Line include a full Nappa leather interior, eight-way electrically-operated driver’s seat with memory as well as a five-mode massage function and heating. Finally, buyers can ask for an opening panoramic sunroof.

The 3008 GT Line is on sale now.
