Turners is bringing its vehicle subscription service to New Zealand, called Carly.

After a stint in Australia, the Carly service is launching here with around 200 vehicles coming into service over six months, supplied by Turners. Vehicles will range from economy ‘around town’ hatchbacks to seven-seater SUVs for bigger families. There’s no indication whether or not EVs or plug-in hybrids are on the menu.

They can be swapped periodically if a customer’s needs change. For example, a van may be needed for moving house, an SUV for a holiday, or a larger vehicle for a growing family. Brands include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Subaru, Holden and Hyundai.

Carly first launched in Australia last year and offers flexible car subscriptions. No long-term contracts are involved, just a monthly fee that can be cancelled at any time. At the time of writing, Carly has not confirmed how much the monthly fee will be here.

Subscriptions include insurance for all approved drivers, with damage liability starting from as low as $1000. You also get up to 3600 free kilometers per month, depending on your subscription type (Entry, Medium or Ultimate).

Carly is still in ‘coming soon’ mode with no firm launch date.
