Honda debuts a refreshed Jazz
Honda’s Jazz hatchback has had some love for 2018, sporting a new look and tweaked driving dynamics.
The new look exterior better align it with the latest Honda styling themes. Its revised front end incorporates the ‘Solid Wing Face’ headlight signature and grille. The front bumper looks more sculpted thanks to contours around the air vents. Around the back is a gloss black trim that links the shallower grille sections to a trapezoid lower section. Finally, four new colours are available: Rouge Amethyst Metallic, Shining Grey Metallic, Midnight Blue Metallic and Premium Agate Brown Pearl.
Honda has evidently also improved the driving dynamics of the Jazz for 2018, with a reduction in cabin noise and an increase in comfort and control being the main edits. The improved refinement is due to a combination of thicker steel, increased sound insulation and injection system revisions, while the dynamic update was possible with chassis, rigidity and damper refinements.
Convenience and safety are improved with the seven-inch Honda Display Audio, Reversing Camera with dynamic guidelines, Parking Sensor Indicators and Distance Warning System becoming standard on all models.
The RS adds a new front splitter and rear diffuser with red detailing, gloss black wheels and new Bi-LED headlights and DRLs.
Jazz will be available with the same 73kW 1.3-litre Atkinson cycle engine or a 97kW 1.5-litre direct injection unit, with a choice of a six-speed manual or CVT transmission.
Prices start at $19,990 for the Jazz S and $25,200 for the RS with a manual gearbox ($26,600 for the CVT). It is on sale now.
