Since the tyre category was introduced into the Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands awards in 2015, Bridgestone and Firestone are the only brands to
have won the accolade, with Firestone winning the first two years and Bridgestone every year since 2017.
According to Bridgestone Director of New Zealand Business, John Staples, trust is now an even bigger consideration for motorists than in the past.
“Last year highlighted how critical trust is, and we’re honoured to maintain the trust of New
Zealand motorists for the fifth straight year,” said Staples. “Just one hand print of tread connects each tyre with the road, and we’re delighted that
New Zealand motorists are not just in safe hands with Bridgestone, but trusted ones too.
“Trust is such a major factor in any purchase and our commitment to New Zealand is to provide safe, reliable and quality tyres for all applications
to keep them in safe hands.”
Bridgestone has a global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, ‘Our Way to Serve’, and three priority areas: mobility, people and environment.
The firm says this commitment is demonstrated by its ongoing support of Leukaemia & Blood
Cancer NZ, supporting those living with blood cancer; Road Safety Education’s RYDA program, supporting young motorists and soon to be motorists; and
as an active member of Tyrewise, supporting research and development towards sustainable end-of-life tyre management.
“We have a commitment to giving back to the community, and this is one of the driving factors behind New Zealanders putting their trust in the Bridgestone
brand,” added Staples.
“New Zealanders have an undeniable affinity with our brand, and we’re committed to maintain their trust into the future by continuing to provide tyres,
services and solutions they can put their trust in.”
