BMW announces M140i ‘Finale Edition’
BMW is sending off the last six-cylinder, rear-wheel drive 1 Series hot hatch with a bang. Meet the M140i Finale Edition.
The standard M140i comes with a 250kW/500Nm straight six engine, shoving power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s good enough to propel the hot hatch to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds while offering fuel consumption of 7.1L/100km.
Standard kit includes M Sport Brakes with blue callipers, Park Distance Control for the front and rear, adaptive LED headlights with BMW Selective Beam, a Harman-Kardon audio system and adaptive M Suspension. There’s also an 8.8-inch infotainment display, BMW ConnectedDrive, leather Dakota upholstery and keyless entry.
Buyers of the Finale Edition get additional gear, including 18-inch M light alloy wheels in ‘Orbit Grey’ double-spoke style, special edition badging, wireless charging, metallic paint, an electric glass sunroof, a black high-gloss kidney grille frame, darkened headlights/taillights and black chrome tailpipes.
The send-off M140i is an Australian-only affair, unfortunately for us. BMW NZ currently only offers the M140i Shadow Edition for $69,900+orc.
