Audi has taken the wraps off the model year 2020 A4 line-up, which includes three mild hybrid powertrain choices.

Starting off with the visuals, next year’s A4 gets a slightly altered face with redesigned headlights and a new, longer grille. The corner vents on the lower fascia are now more vertical than before. Around back, the taillights have been left untouched but the rear fascia is subtly changed, mainly around the lower reflectors and exhaust tips.

There are few mods indoors, the biggest being an updated MMI system, accessible through a 10.1-inch touch screen.

The big news is about what’s under the hood, however. In European markets, there will be six powertrain options ranging from 110kW to 255kW. Three of those will feature 12-volt mild hybrid systems while the diesel-powered S4 gets a larger 48-volt system. Audi says the oil-burning hybrid S4 will hit 100km/h in 4.8 seconds.

Local specifications and pricing haven’t yet been announced.
