The latest addition to the AMG Black Series line has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring and in northern Sweden, sporting features inspired by the GT3 racer.

Photos taken of the model show more refined bodywork than the mules that came before it. While the huge twin-blade rear wing and aggressive diffuser remain unchanged, the bonnet has been redesigned with larger intakes and aggressive ribs, and front bumper appears to take inspiration from the GT3 race car.

This model will house a tuned version of the AMG-GT’s V8, making it the first turbocharged Black Series model since the SL65 Black in 2008. It would be fair to assume that there will be a considerable increase in power as a result.

With increasing emphasis on more environmentally-friendly transportation from automakers, this could be the last AMG Black Series model to go without either a hybrid or fully electric powertrain.
