The all-electric Donfeng Box has arrived in New Zealand, priced from $29,990 thanks to an introductory offer, discounting it by $3,000.
With up to 317km (WLTP) of range from its 42.3kWh battery, Armstrongs claims the Box is a class leader in the Light Hatchback EV segment.

In New Zealand, the Box is offered with a six-year/ 200,000km warranty and eight-year/ 200,000km traction battery warranty.
Armstrong also notes it gets one of the largest boots in its class, and has a long wheelbase for a small EV hatch, allowing for increased passenger comfort.
Other highlights include the electronically adjustable driver’s seat with both heating and ventilation functions.

“The new model really does tick the boxes when breaking barriers to EV ownership,” said Simon Rutherford, CEO, Armstrong’s Distribution Limited.
“It overdelivers in terms of range, specification and performance and, when the launch offer is taken into consideration, it delivers astonishing value.”
The Dongfeng Box is available in dealerships across Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch for immediate delivery.
Following the conclusion of the $3,000 introductory offer on January 31 2026, the Box will be sold at $32,990.
