2019 Volvo V60 teased ahead of debut
Volvo has released a short teaser video of their refreshed V60 ahead of a late February launch.
The redesign follows cues set by the XC90, XC60 and XC40 SUVs, as well as the larger V90 wagon.
The video, titled ‘Designed for Generations’, follows a brief history of the station wagon and is sure to tug a few heartstrings. Archive footage of older Volvo wagons precedes a brief look at the new V60 where we get glimpses of new body panels and a new grille, as well as a fleeting shot of the leather-swathed interior.
Like the XC60 and V90, the V60 will ride on the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) and will be offered with a range of four-pot engines. Spy photos have also hinted at a plug-in hybrid version. The range-topper is linked with a 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to offer about 298kW and 640Nm.
The new Volvo V60 will debut on 21 February at the Volvo headquarters. The event will be live-streamed on Facebook ahead of a physical reveal at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
